Monday Funday Support

Bringing people together in their neighborhood parks

In 2026, the Allentown Parknership will invest in the City of Allentown’s popular Monday Funday program to bring additional resources, healthy food options, and expanded community offerings at parks across the city from May through October.

The investment will help the City build on the momentum from a successful program in 2025 that brought neighbors and neighborhoods neighborhoods and created more opportunities for recreation close to home. More than 1,000 children and families are expected to participate in 2026.

Support Monday Funday and other great programs in the City with your gift today.

The financial resources from the Parknership will provide recreational supplies and equipment to further enrich activities for families, healthy snacks for participating children (many of whom come directly from after-school programs and practices), and a special community-building cookout and celebration at the final Monday event at each location. Funds for the investment came from gifts and grants from individuals and organizations in the private and public sector.

Monday Funday is a free, family-friendly series held at six parks across Allentown, offering a rotating schedule of active places, wellness activities, and community nights. Designed for all ages, the program encourages residents to get outdoors, connect with neighbors, and enjoy safe, engaging programming in parks close to their homes throughout the summer and early fall.
